Vega Sicilia’s flagship is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on soils rich in quartz, gravel and limestone. Fermented with native yeasts in wooden tanks, the wine is aged for about six years in French and American oak barrels of various size and age, and a further 4 years in bottle before release.
