This comes from vines planted on stony marl, made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah. The grapes were harvested at good maturity, and benefited from a long vatting of over 30 days at controlled temperature. The wine was then matured partially in vats and barrels for about a year. On the nose, there are aromas of garrigue, black olive, liquorice and pine. The palate, with a contained power, offers a slightly spicy finish.
