On the nose it is notable for its fragrance and complexity, with aromas of red and black fruit (blackcurrant and blackberry) together with notes of cedar and mild toasty hints, followed later by hints of spice (pepper) and mineral notes. Powerful and tasty in the mouth with a magnificent backbone and fine, ripe tannins. All rounded off with an elegant and lingering finish.
