Legend has it that the Négrette, this black grape variety characteristic of the Fronton vineyards, was brought from Cyprus by the Knights Hospitallers of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. Fronton is the only appellation to have claimed for its own this variety which, whilst a touch capricious, yields elegant, well-structured, aromatic wines with a flowery nose. this hand crafted wine has subtle aromas of violets, blackcurrants and black berries with liquorice and spice. Beautifully balanced and well structured.
