Larry Cherubino Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Inky black, with strong, classic bay leaf and earthy tones. Integrated oak neatly frames the intense fruit. This is focussed and textured, with very fine tannins. This another level of excellence with fruit so resonant and bright it takes your breath away. The gloriously luxurious flavour attack is underpinned by an awe-inspiring, singular minerality. The back end is sour, dense, structured, ripe, cool, powerful, muscular, and brittle, arming this wine for the long run. It is like an intergalactic excavator has scooped up a large tract of Saint-Estephe and deposited it among the karri trees in the southwest corner of Western Australia.
