This Bulgarian red offers intrigue from the first sniff. It’s made with Marselan, a rare crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache – unusual to find outside of France. Expect a burst of blackcurrant and plum, laced with smoky notes and a hint of caramel. On tasting, those rich fruits are joined by vanilla, cedar, and a touch of chocolate. The winemaking is quite polished – the oak well-integrated and those complex flavours working in harmony. A distinctive and satisfying wine.
